LASVIT art director Maxim Velčovský wins big at Interior Design Magazine’s 2020 Best of Year Awards
Maxim Velčovský, Art Director for LASVIT, has been named the winner of Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards 2020 in the Manufacturer: Creative Director category. Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards is the design industry’s premiere design awards program, honoring the most significant work of the year as well as recognizing designers, architects, and manufacturers from around the globe.
In past years, the Best of Year Awards ceremony has drawn 1,000+ worldwide attendees. Now celebrating its 15th year, Interior Design’s Best of Year has become the ultimate measure of excellence, showcasing what’s happening today in every category of design while simultaneously setting the bar even higher for the future. “It is an honor to be recognized for my work by being named a winner in the 2020 Interior Design Best of Year Awards,” says Maxim Velčovský, art director of LASVIT. “The Best of Year Awards is a prestigious global program, and I am grateful to be celebrated for my achievements alongside many other incredible creatives. I am proud to bring this award back to LASVIT, as one of the two awards our company has received this year. Our new headquarters, based in Nový Bor, has also received the top prize in the Building Facade category,” adds Maxim. Interior Design magazine also praised the new headquarters of LASVIT from OV Architekti.
The unique combination of original and new architecture has won several exceptional awards, the Monument of the Year 2019 of the Liberec Region, the National Building of the Year in several categories, including the Public Award, and this November it received the Czech Award for Architecture from the Chamber of Architects. Abroad, the HQ received one of the most famous awards, the Dezeen Award 2020. As a winner in the People category, new to the award program for 2020, Maxim joins an exclusive group of winners including Peter Marino of Peter Marino Architects, Knud Erik Hansen of Carl Hansen & Søn, and Maha Kutay and Woody Yao of Zaha Hadid Design.
